Dr. Raja Otmane, MD, Associate Professor, is an Algerian Nuclear Medicine Physician with expertise in Oncologic Nuclear Medicine, and radionuclide therapy.
She founded and developed the largest Nuclear Medicine Department in Eastern Algeria at Annaba University hospital, making a significant contribution to the expansion of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services and to the improvement of oncologic care at the regional level.
She serves as Vice President of the Algerian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AANM), and is a founding member and Eastern Regional Vice President of the Algerian Thyroid and Parathyroid Association (ATAPS). She also chairs the Multidisciplinary Neuroendocrine Tumor Board, promoting a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
Her academic activities include undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as the training and supervision of nuclear medicine residents. Her research interests focus on the optimization and validation of nuclear medicine imaging procedures for the North African population and the clinical implementation of PET technologies and novel molecular imaging tracers aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
